Blinn College livestock judging wins top team, individual honors at Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo
Blinn's Gunner Coburn tallies 924 points as overall individual winner

The Blinn College livestock judging team has added the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo Intercollegiate Livestock Judging title to its list of accomplishments.
Blinn was the top team at this year’s contest, scoring 3,636 points in reasons, cattle, swine, horses, and sheep/goats. Connors State College was second with 3,624 points.
Blinn also had the top individual, with Gunner Coburn scoring 924 points. Blinn’s Avery Oliver was fifth overall with 908 points, Taylor Turner was sixth with 907, Kendahl Nix was ninth with 897, and Kyle Real was 16 th with 882. Coburn had the top individual scores in cattle and reasons, and placed third in sheep/goats, ninth in swine, and 16 th in horses.
Blinn also had two teams in the alternate division, placing fourth (892 points) and 15th (835 points).
“Winning at Fort Worth is a testament to all the hard work our teams have been putting in,” livestock judging coach Quest Newberry said. “The contest draws some of the top teams from the region.”
