Blinn's Economics Program soars to No. 4 nationally
Blinn's Associate of Science in Economics ranks fourth on BestColleges.com’s online economics associate degrees list

The Blinn College District’s Associate of Science in Economics has been named one of the best online economics associate degrees in the nation by BestColleges.com. Blinn ranked No. 4 in the nation and No. 1 in the State of Texas.
Blinn’s Economics Program provides a solid foundation in economic theory and its practical applications with courses that include microeconomics, macroeconomics, international economics, and econometrics. In addition to being available online, the program is offered on the Brenham, Bryan, RELLIS, Schulenburg, and Sealy campuses.

Blinn courses are highly transferrable, and our students have transferred to Texas A&M, Sam Houston State, the University of Houston, the University of Texas-San Antonio, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, and Tarleton State.
Blinn economics graduates have gone on to pursue successful careers in a variety of fields, including finance, consulting, government, and nonprofit organizations. Many have also pursued advanced degrees in economics, law, business, and public policy. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, economists earned a median salary of $113,940 per year in 2022.
BestColleges.com ranks programs based upon academic quality, affordability, and online competency while using data from the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) and College Navigator, both of which are hosted by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).
