Blinn architecture alumna earns national recognition
National Kitchen and Bath Association names Allison Green to its Thirty Under 30 list
January 14, 2026
Blinn College District Architecture Program alumna Allison Green always knew she wanted to make an impact through her creativity. Thanks to the skills and mentorship she gained at Blinn, she is well on her way, recently being named to the National Kitchen and Bath Association’s (NKBA) Thirty Under 30 Class of 2026. This list is a national recognition that shines a spotlight on outstanding young professionals in the kitchen and bath design field.
“It’s been very exciting,” Green said. “I had always loved interior design, but I didn’t know how niche an industry kitchen and bath design really is prior to getting involved in it. People have been reaching out, congratulating me, and it’s just been so rewarding.”
A College Station native whose father is a homebuilder, Green was familiar with the construction industry, but was inspired to pursue interior design after coming to Blinn.
“By combining my architecture courses with art electives, I essentially created an interior design program,” Green said. “You’re not just learning how to build or draw buildings. Blinn teaches so many fundamentals in the construction and interior design industry that help set you up for success. I also loved the smaller class sizes, which allowed me to build real relationships and feel a sense of community.”
Green will be honored by the NKBA during the organization’s Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS) held in Orlando, Fla., in February. With the momentum of this award and the solid foundation she gained at Blinn, Green is continuing to grow her career by launching her own design-led remodeling company Elm Haus Co.
“This award and the training I received at Blinn have given me the confidence to take this next step in my career,” Green said. “I’ve dreamed of having my own design company and I look forward to working with my clients to create spaces that reflect how they want to live that feel natural, intentional, and timeless.”
Green previously worked for Cabinet IQ in Austin, where she served as lead designer and showroom manager. In addition to helping her clients design their dream kitchens, Green mentored other designers as a business coach for the company, just as Assistant Dean Craig Jeffrey once influenced her path.
“My favorite part of Blinn’s Architecture Program was working with Craig Jeffrey. He helped spark my love for design and was so supportive,” Green said. “He also taught me the technical side of things, and I just think Blinn is such a good steppingstone for anyone interested in getting involved in the kitchen and bath industry, construction, and interior design.”
Blinn offers two 60-credit-hour degree options at its Bryan Campus: an Associate of Arts (AA) in Architecture and an Associate of Arts in Architecture-Field of Study. Both are designed for transfer to four-year universities, and Blinn has transfer agreements with Texas A&M University’s Landscape and Urban Planning Program, the Texas Tech University College of Architecture, Sam Houston State University, and the University of Houston.
As Green embarks on a new phase of her career, she wants other young designers to know they can pursue their dreams in their own way and that Blinn is a wonderful place to start.
“I think students should know that you don’t have to go somewhere else after you graduate from Blinn,” Green said. “There are plenty of options in the workforce, if that’s something you want or need to do. I had planned to transfer to Texas A&M, but I ended up getting a job instead. Overall, the Architecture Program just opened so many doors and was amazing. I still miss it every single day.”
