  • Use clinical reasoning and clinical judgement based on the nursing program of study and evidence-based practice as a basis for development of a patient centered plan of care, incorporating holistic care principles.
  • Manage information, access available resources, and use technology to support decision-making and improve patient care.
  • Promote safety and quality improvement as a provider of patient-centered care, patient safety advocate & member of the healthcare team.
  • Practice effectively using therapeutic communication, mutual respect, and shared decision-making skills with patients, families, and the interprofessional healthcare team to achieve quality patient outcomes.
  • Adopt a professional identity (knowledge, values/ ethics, professional comportment, & nurse as leader) as a registered nurse that reflects a commitment to nursing practice and regulatory frameworks.​
