Admissions Process for Dual Credit/Early Admission Students

High school students may attend the Blinn College District beginning the summer following their eighth-grade year.

Follow these steps to ensure easier acceptance to Blinn.

If you are a homeschooled student, please first email the Dual Credit office for an official Home School Agreement dualcredit@blinn.edu.

Like many colleges and universities across the State of Texas, Blinn uses the ApplyTexas application. To apply, visit www.applytexas.org and select Blinn College. It is recommended that you do not use your high school email address to apply through ApplyTexas.
Acceptance emails will be sent once your application has been received and processed by the Admissions Office (1 to 2 business day turnaround).

myBLINN is your student portal, where you can pay, track your degree progress, and much more. After your application is processed by Blinn College, you will receive a separate email to activate your myBLINN account. If you do not receive 2 the email within 24 hours or experience difficulty, please call 979-830-4357.

Dual Credit Approval Form
• Talk to your high school counselor to obtain this form.
Bacterial Meningitis Requirement (if taking classes on a Blinn Campus)
• All students under the age of 22 taking classes at an institution of higher learning must submit proof that they have been vaccinated against bacterial meningitis. For more information, visit https://www.blinn.edu/immunizations/index.html.

Verify TSI requirements for dual credit students on our Dual Credit Eligibility page.

Once you have an active Blinn application, test scores or exemptions, and your transcripts or GED scores on file, you should meet with the Dual Credit advisor. They will help you select the correct courses for your academic and career goals. To view ways to meet with an academic advisor visit the following link Dual Credit Advising page.

All new and returning Blinn College students must complete a mandatory Title
IX Student Online Training. For more information regarding Title IX, visit our Title IX Training page.

You’re now ready to be registered for classes! All high school students are registered through the Dual Credit Office. Please email them at dualcredit@blinn.edu to complete the process.

We offer a variety of payment options:
• Log into myBLINN and click the NelNet Icon to view charges and pay
online.
• Visit an Enrollment Services office (addresses are listed on our Admissions page) and pay via cash, credit or debit card,
money order, or cashier’s check. No temporary checks will be accepted.
• Installment payment plans are available through our Business Offices Installment Payment Plan page.

Blinn College District uses multi-factor authentication for accessing online assets, including your myBLINN account. After class registration, you will receive an email at your personal address with a link to enroll your mobile phone in Duo, through which you can receive a push notification or passcode for multi-factor authentication purposes. Please visit Academic Technologies Duo Multi-Factor Authentication page for more information and instructions on setting up your Duo mobile app.

To request a student ID, find the Admissions card in your myBLINN portal and click on  Dual Credit Forms, and upload your photo following the guidelines. You must be signed into myBLINN to submit the form. The ID will be mailed to either your school or the address provided.

All students parking a vehicle at Blinn’s Brenham, Bryan, and Schulenburg campuses must register their vehicle and purchase a parking permit. Currently, the Sealy and Waller campuses do not require a parking permit. Purchase a parking permit by clicking the parking permit icon in myBLINN. Students attending classes at RELLIS must purchase a parking permit through Texas A&M Transportation Services at https://transport.tamu.edu. Blinn parking permits are not valid at the RELLIS Campus.

Blinn makes getting your books and other materials easy and affordable through the BucBooks program. Learn more on our BucBooks page.
