Through the Blinn College District Engineering Program, you can choose from four associate degree pathways that transfer into the engineering bachelor's degree programs across the state.

We offer co-admissions partnerships that place you on the path to earn your bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University (Texas A&M Engineering Academy at Blinn-Brenham and Texas A&M Engineering at Blinn), Tarleton State University at RELLIS, Texas A&M-Texarkana at RELLIS, Houston Christian University, and the University of Texas at San Antonio (Transfer Academy for Tomorrow’s Engineers - TATE).

Degree Plans

Offered on the RELLIS and Brenham campuses, Blinn's Associate of Science degree in Engineering provides the general education, mathematics, and science courses normally taken in the first two years of an engineering program at a four-year college or university while providing the flexibility for individual interests.

Blinn-to-HCU Transfer Agreement

Through a transfer and co-enrollment agreement between the Blinn College District and Houston Christian University (HCU), Blinn electrical engineering students can apply their credits toward a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a Bachelor of Science in Cyber Engineering from HCU, and Blinn computer science students can apply their credits toward a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from HCU.

The Associate of Science in Engineering can be completed on the Brenham and RELLIS campuses.

Engineering remains a high-demand profession, both nationally and throughout the State of Texas. According to the  U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, almost 140,000 new engineering jobs are expected to be created between 2016 and 2026. Engineers are employed in a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, engineering services, government, scientific research and development, construction, and computer systems design.

Due to their valuable skills and high demand, engineers earn a median annual wage of $91,010 – more than twice the median wage for all workers.

Through this unique partnership with the Texas A&M University College of Engineering, you can pursue your Texas A&M engineering degree as part of a living and learning community on the Blinn College-Brenham Campus. Blinn’s 60-credit-hour Associate of Science in Engineering transfers to leading four-year engineering programs such as the University of Houston, Texas Tech, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, and Texas A&M-Kingsville.

Through Blinn’s role as the community college partner in the RELLIS Academic Alliance, you can seamlessly apply your Associate of Science toward a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Tarleton State, a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M-Texarkana, or a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Tarleton State.

Students can participate in the Engineering Club on the Brenham Campus. The Engineering Club promotes scholarship, develops leadership and professionalism, and cultivates fellowship among engineering students.
