Application Dates and Deadlines

IMPORTANT: Follow the dates below when completing the international student process. All supporting admissions documentation must be submitted by these deadlines. Documents received after the posted deadlines will be processed for the following term. No exceptions will be made.

Application Deadlines – International F-1 Students

Semester Deadline
Fall July 15
Spring November 15
Summer F-1 students not eligible to begin in this term
Note: Please note that once a student completes the admissions process it may take 5-7 business days to receive the Form I-20. Only the U.S. Department of State issues the F-1 visa; the Blinn College District cannot ensure that meeting the admissions deadlines will result in the student receiving an F-1 visa for the term. Students are encouraged to review visa processing times on travel.state.gov and plan accordingly when completing their admission process.

Application Deadlines - Co-Enrolled International Students

For co-enrolled students and other visa holders beyond the F-1 visa holders, all documents must be submitted and processed prior to the day before classes begin for the desired academic term. B-visa holders cannot enroll under this visa designation.

International Student Arrival and Orientation Dates

Students holding an F-1 visa are only allowed to enter the United States 30 days prior to the first day of school.

International Student Orientation is mandatory for all new international F-1 students and transfer international F-1 students. Failure to attend the posted orientation date or arriving late to orientation will result in an immediate termination of a student’s I-20 and students automatically will be moved to the following term. No exceptions will be made to this policy.

International Student Check-in

All F-1 international students must complete the International Student Check-in once they arrive in the United States each semester. The International Student Program (ISP) office will open the check-in process 30 days prior to the start of the term. Students must check-in no later 11:59pm the day before the first day of class for the term.
