Interested in Teaching?

The Blinn College District Division of Applied Technology, Workforce, and Economic Development is looking for qualified part-time instructors to teach in all disciplines: Healthcare, Technology, Career & Professional and Information Technology.

Day and evening positions now available. We also seek subject matter experts who are interested in developing new and exciting non-credit courses that will meet the needs of first-time job seekers or for the seasoned employee who may need training in the latest technologies.

Becoming an Instructor

All you need is a passion for the subject, expertise or skill in that area, and a desire to share that knowledge with others. Good communication and people skills are important. You must be flexible and have a desire to educate people of all ages and backgrounds. If this sounds like you, please contact us!

Who are our students?

Ranging in age from 17 on up, we serve approximately 4,500 students annually. Locations include Bryan/College Station, Brenham, Sealy, and Schulenburg, along with many high schools.

Teaching Assignments?

Assignments are made as demand exists. Courses are offered based on minimum enrollment and availability of instructional requirements (such as classrooms, equipment, and supplies) to ensure optimal instructional conditions. Instructors are always invited to discuss teaching assignments with their supervisor.

Course Format?

Applied Technology, Workforce, and Economic Development Program courses are formatted to be user-friendly to the general public, most of whom have full-time jobs. Many courses tend to be shorter, meet less often, and have more flexibility to accommodate busy schedules.

Pay Scale?

Pay can vary greatly based on the level of expertise and required training, type of course, and more. Rates may also vary for different departments. You will need to discuss this with the Program Manager in your area of discipline.

How to get started?

Send your resume and a cover letter to workforce@blinn.edu or visit the Blinn employment website at https://employment.blinn.edu/.
