TEAM Registration Tips
- Be prepared for instructor and course changes
Professors may change without notice from what is listed when you register. Course changes cannot be made solely because your preferred professor has changed. - Allow enough time between campuses
If you have classes at both campuses on the same day, allow at least one hour between them to travel. Also consider time for lunch, reviewing notes, or other needs. - Register for Blinn classes first
Blinn registration always occurs before Texas A&M’s. Set your Blinn schedule first, then add your Texas A&M courses when their registration opens. Preparation for registration includes seeking advising early and checking for holds on your account. Please know that TAP advisors at TAMU are your primary academic advisors; if you are an incoming student, you will not be advised until the day of your NSC. - Prepare for registration early
Meet with an advisor in advance and check your account for holds several times before registration. Holds can prevent you from registering for classes. - Understand prerequisites and grade requirements
While a “D” is a passing grade, many prerequisite courses require a “C” or higher. If you do not meet the required grade in a prerequisite, the next course in that sequence will be dropped from your schedule. Prerequisite requirements can be different at Blinn and Texas A&M, so confirm them with the institution offering the course. - Check both email accounts
You are responsible for all communications from both institutions. Be sure to check your Texas A&M and Blinn email accounts regularly. - Expect possible schedule changes
After registration, your course location or instructor may change without notice. - Verify that your courses transfer
Make sure the courses you register for at Blinn will transfer to Texas A&M and apply to your degree plan. You can confirm transferability through Texas A&M’s Transfer Course Equivalency website. It is always a good idea to have a TAP advisor review your schedule before finalizing it.
